R Mukogo
Mrs Rosemary Mukogo is a holder of a B Sc. Economics degree from the University of Zimbabwe and a holder of a certificate on Environmental Economics and Policy Analysis from Harvard University, Boston. She began her career in 1984 when she joined the Ministry of Trade and Commerce and moved to the Ministry of (Mines) Environment and Tourism where she served to the level of Under Secretary from 1991 to 1996.She is the Founder and Managing Director of Green Tourism Services. Prior to setting up her consulting firm, Mrs Mukogo served as the Executive Consultant for the Zimbabwe Council for Tourism (2002) and was an Executive Director for Air Harbour Technologies (AHT) between 2000 –and 2001. While at AHT, she managed stakeholder interests between the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Public Construction, other relevant government departments and international investors to facilitate the successful construction of the current Robert Mugabe International Airport. Between 1996 and 1999, Mrs Mukogo served as a Director of Research and went on to be the Interim CEO of Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. She was the focal point for regional and international conventions/agreements to which the Government of Zimbabwe had acceded to such as SADC, UNWTO and participated in the meetings supporting the Government’s tourism policy development and destination marketing initiatives. She Mrs Mukogo is currently a Commissioner with the Public Service Commission Zimbabwe and brings immense wealth from her experience having served as Board Chairperson of Forestry Commission of Zimbabwe (2014 – 2016) and Board member of Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (2002 – 2014). She is the current Chairperson of the Environmental Committee of the Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe (HAZ) and has served on various boards for non-profit entities.
